报告人：郭大庆博士

电子科技大学生命学院、神经信息教育部重点实验室、电子科技大学信息医学中心副教授，中国自动化学会生物控制论与生物医学工程专业委员会委员。于2011年6月在电子科技大学获得工学博士学位。2011年6月-2012年9月在日本冲绳科学与技术大学院大学计算神经科学实验室任研究员，从事博士后研究工作。先后主持2项国家自然科学基金项目，参与包括国自然科学基金仪器研发、科技部重大科研仪器设备研制、军口863在内的多项重大项目研发。近年发表SCI论文25篇，部分文章发表在PLoS Computational Biology，IEEE Trans, Physical Review E, Europhysics Letters, Scientific Reports等国际知名期刊上，相关研究工作曾受国内外知名科技媒体的关注和报道。

报告摘要：Epilepsy is a chronic noncommunicable disorder of the brain, mainly characterized by a long-term risk of recurrent seizures. Approximately 50 million people worldwide have epilepsy, making it rank the second highest morbidity disease occurring in the central nervous system. Understanding how epileptic seizures arise as well as their modulation mechanisms in the brain is therefore an important topic in computational neuroscience. In this talk, I simply review the background of epilepsy, and introduce multi-scale computational modelling for mechanistic studies of epilepsy.
